Advanced Practitioner of Cattle Health and Production
Vicki is an experienced farm vet and consultant, having worked for 11 years in the dairy and beef industry. She is an RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Cattle Health and Production and also holds the Diploma in Bovine Reproduction (DBR). She is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Nottingham, developing algorithms and health alerts to enhance dairy cow resilience, welfare, and production using precision livestock technology. Vicki is actively involved in research incorporating thoracic ultrasound in youngstock as markers of respiratory disease, as well as having a special interest in the potential role of Doppler use in ovarian ultrasonography in decision-making for hormonal interventions.
Vicki is known for her personable, collaborative, hands-on style, applying scientific expertise to advance herd performance and animal welfare. She is part of the international Vet Salus network of consultants, championing sustainable farming practice. With extensive technical knowledge, facilitation and coaching training, and experience in translating data into practical management changes, Vicki is a trusted partner for farmers, veterinarians, and agribusinesses.
